About

One designer, fourteen years, Lisbon.

I am a graphic designer and art director in Lisbon. For fourteen years I have made posters, books, packaging and identities for theatres, presses, makers and the occasional museum.

I work alone and with a small circle of printers, binders and photographers I have worked with for years. Every piece is set by hand, proofed on the paper it will be printed on, and finished when it is finished, not when the deck is.

I take on six to eight commissions a year. If you make something with care and need it to look the way it is, write to me.

A commission

Four moves, in order.

  1. A conversation

A call or a coffee. You show me what you make; I ask more questions than you expect.

  2. A fixed fee

Within a week, one fee for the whole piece, in writing. No hourly rates, no surprises.

  3. One direction

I show one direction, not three. We talk about it and I make it right.

  4. The thing itself

Print-ready files, a press check if there is one, and the files are yours.
