How a commission works.
How much does a commission cost?
Posters from €1,800, a book cover from €2,400, an identity from €9,000 and packaging from €6,000. One fee for the whole piece, fixed before we start.
How long does it take?
A poster in three weeks, a cover in four, an identity in eight to twelve. I take on six to eight commissions a year, so the start date depends on the queue.
Do you work with clients outside Portugal?
About half my clients are elsewhere in Europe. Everything works by call and by post; a press check needs me there, and that is in the fee.
Can I see the work before it is finished?
You see one direction, early, and we talk about it. After that you see it when it is right, and we talk again.
